The Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals special on Comedy Central was pretty brilliant. I've got a lot more respect for the guy after watching it. Deeply empathetic and moving. Most of the time I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.

Watched the first three episodes of Wayward Pines. It's interesting but it's lacking. Totally plot/mystery driven, which is fine, but it really shows you how strong and impressive and groundbreaking character driven mysteries like LOST and Twin Peaks really were. I'll keep watching WP. Because I am intrigued by the mystery, but I'm not hooked on it like so many others.

Thanks to Joey's recommendation - just finished watching Bloodline, nice slow burner that really ramped up in the last few episodes.
Will hopefully get around to watching that first episode of True Detective tonight

There's some pretty insightful stuff in Maron. I think I love it.

I love his show, but hate his podcast. I can't listen to more than five minutes of it.LoathedVermin72 wrote:There's some pretty insightful stuff in Maron. I think I love it.

The Last Ship season premier was surprisingly not as bad as I thought it might be.

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
The 6th episode of Wayward Pines was the most exposition I've ever seen in a single TV episode. People who think JJ Abrams is bad at incorporating exposition (
) should watch this and then cut him some major slack.

Amazon original series, sort of a really vulgar, charming romantic comedy. Rob Delaney is in it.durdencommatyler wrote:What's this now?LoathedVermin72 wrote:Joey, you should check out Catastrophe.

I was just gonna ask if it was Amazon. I'll definitely check it out. Probably watch, at least the first episode, tonight.

Just finished watching the first season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - outstanding!
Tried to get into Parks and Recs, but only got about 4 episodes through the first season. What a drag
