Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Post by B »

Given that I've liked most everything they've done with Hulk in the Avengers movies, this is great news.

All think they're all Avengers sequels all the way out.

I've loved the Cap movies, I'm sure this one will be great. What I'm not sure of is whether it will have anything to do with Marvels previous Civil War comic book event or whether they're just using the title because it sounds cool, like they did with Age of Ultron.

I hope the hulk rumors are true. Maybe they'll do a planet hulk movie. I know the hulk movies have not been successful, but if they get the right director, a plant hulk film would be awesome.

100% agree but given the hero status the hulk has and not the misguided monster he is in the comics it would have to be different. no illumanti banishing him for his own good etc.. but it could still work though a whole movie of CGI hulk and alien world would be wayyyyyy to expensive

as far as civil war goes i think they can pull it off like the comics. can use sokovia as the catalyst instead of stamford.

cap would be for the registration while tony would be against it (opposites of the comics) just based on their interactions in AoU

Apparently, Universal still owns some of the rights to a stand-alone Hulk movie, so there would have to be some kind of negotiations. Including Hulk here, or maybe in the next Guardians of the Galaxy, apparently skirts that contractual issue.

I've been thinking that everything in the movies will lead to Cap being all anti-registration - just like the comics.

Yeah, I thought the first one was mediocre at best. C-/D+. But the second one was so much better. Great fun and fantastic SFX. Great action. I really liked it. It's toward the top of my Marvel CU rankings (sorry, Ruddo).

Why are you sorry? You didn't like the first one, big whoop. You still have to admit Cap is awesome.

And yes Cap is awesome. Which is something I thought impossible after that one from the early 90s.

the first 30 minutes or so of the first one were excellent, then it got a bit messy
