This has come up a few times on shuffle during my commute, and I can't hear anything but "we were butt-stones", which makes me giggle on the train.

Hidden gem.

Came on randomly a while ago and reminded how great a song it is.

5 stars.

One of their perfect moments.

Pinkpop 2000 has an incredible version of this song.

Fantastic song. A lot of people seem to really love the Pinkpop 2000 version, but I think the Virginia Beach, Columbus, East Troy and Chicago performances from the 2000 tour are even a little better.

This song has grown on me over the last 5 years. I used to find the upper register vocals a bit one dimensional for both the verse and chorus.

Definitely top ten post 2000. Which isn't hard.

I heard Light Years today for the first time since someone pointed out the "butt stones" line. I had never heard it that way before, and now that's all I can hear.

Gotta say, it makes the song much more enjoyable.

I kind of like the beginning and verses, though the chorus kind of brings the songs momentum to a bit of a stop. I do like when the guitar has a bit of a pause at the beginning of the chorus. That's a cool effect. This song IMO is ruined a bit by the ending dragging and the choruses getting boring. But its a pretty good one
