I mean he got a decent amount more in this single season than he would have gotten in any multi-year deal. If Miami had extended him that basically would have ended any hopes of being a player in 2016 FA. I think he believes in himself and thinks that next summer he can pick himself up a 2yr/$30-40m deal, while giving the team flexibility.spike wrote:what is wade thinking?Monkey_Driven wrote:Good for the Heat it is just a one year deal.4/5 wrote:Oh man the Heat just dodged a huge Wade sized bullet. I was pretty surprised that he agreed to a one year deal, also.

I just feel with the mavs pg situation jordan is going to be less effective, but I guess the rumor is cliff paul and him didnt get along. Who can blame him there?
Didnt they give up a first rounder to contract rondo aids for a partial season?

Hes a restricted free agent I think. Lebron will tell gilbert to match any offer for a member of his clique.

Maybe Pat Riley met with Aldridge to tell him to go to the Spurs to help thwart LeBron's title hopes for the remainder of his prime.

So cavs want to trade for Joe Johnson now, but he has second highest salary next year after kobe. Cavs still haven't resigned Thompson or James, I don't see how they can take on that much salary.

Re: NBA Thread
The money getting thrown around is absurd. I thought Cory Joseph would be a good target for the bulls but he just got 4 yrs $30 mil from the craptors. ...ummm, nevermind.
The cavs are probably going to end up deeper in the tax than any team ever has. I heard they want David West too. They will walk through the East but fuck them, if they still find a way to lose it'll just be that much more amusing.

Salary Cap is going way up, a lot of NBA average guys are going to be paid like stars for a bit.

Yup. They want to lock these guys in before everyone has cap space in a year or two.Electromatic wrote:Salary Cap is going way up, a lot of NBA average guys are going to be paid like stars for a bit.

Re: NBA Thread
it appears the cavs' strategy is to sign as many players for lebron to defer to in crunch time as possible.
