Ever prolific, Ty Segall has been a member of no fewer than seven bands, including the likes of Sic Alps, Fuzz, Epsilons, Ty Segall Band, and others. Now he’s bumped the number up to eight by forming Broken Bat with Dale Crover of Melvins and Steven McDonald of Redd Kross and OFF!.

This.

Ty's also recording an album with Ex-Cult singer, Goggs, which also features Charlie Moothhart on drums.

Fuzz is set to land Oct. 23.

I think we'll see a few albums from Ty by the end of the year. Maybe an EP.

On the Shake's FB. Think the CDs are all set with the vinyl soon to follow. Man, Castle Face has been killing it all year. It's nuts.

And you might be in for it, if you never heard of these guys. I'd wager that the Blind Shake are one of the best active bands in the country.

It's definitely rock music, but there's something baffling and wholly other about it. It's like aliens put together a rock band from scrambled radio interception. One of the few bands I've seen that made me think, "what the hell just happened here?"

Ehhhh, not sold after the first listen. Grabbed a few albums. Let's stick to Ty.

Did you make any of the acoustic shows? The chicago show was amazing. Coreys set was stunning too, except for all the assholes that talked through the entire set.

NYCTaper has 2 of the shows up for download, crystal clear recordings.

The Shake? Dude they're great live. You're doing the Warsaw shows or the Bowery?

Feel like I can't do either after seeing both of those bands at DBA. Just ain't the same.

I didn't do the acoustic shows, to some regret.

I'm in Chicago. They're playing my favorite, Empty Bottle. I'm looking forward to seeing them very much, warming up to those albums I downloaded.

I missed both RSD items so I'm excited for it.

Nice. I spaced and thought you were in NY for some reason.

Man when I lost most of my records a few years back, I remember being really bummed about losing the first Ty Rex disc.

Yeah, clear too. Ordered it through Goner's mailorder a day or two after RSD.

I had a fire that wiped out most of my collection a few years back .

Damn man, that's terrible. I have fears of losing my collection.

I don't think I've ever pre-ordered from Goner, I get their newsletters. Hopefully I snag a colored Ty Rex, word is there will be one.

Fuzz - October
Ty Rex - November

Slow year for Ty, releases wise.
