This story is wild: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13221 ... -mavericks
DeAndre Jordan has told the Los Angeles Clippers that he wants to walk away from his new deal with the Dallas Mavericks to stay in L.A., according to league sources.

But sources told ESPN.com that the unprecedented fluidity of Jordan's free agency has convinced the Clippers that they need to stay at Jordan's side until he can formally sign a new contract, given that Jordan has already changed his mind once in this process.

Sources say Jordan, in a Wednesday meeting at his Houston home with several Los Angeles teammates and top team officials, left the Clippers with the clear message that he intends to renege on Friday's commitment to sign a four-year, $80-plus million max deal with the Mavericks and re-sign a lucrative deal with the Clippers instead.

Sources say the majority of the Clippers' contingent that descended en masse on Houston to get Jordan back -- which included coach/team president Doc Rivers, owner Steve Ballmer, and star teammates Chris Paul and Blake Griffin -- remained at Jordan's house after the conclusion of the meeting. The Clippers' contingent, sources said, is vowing to stay with Jordan until at least 12:01 a.m. ET Thursday, which is the first allowable minute that Jordan can officially sign a new deal with L.A.

The clips are screwed if he leaves and his production will slip without cliff paul and blake. If hes smart he returns to clips but selfishly I want that team to be trash so hopefully cuban can figure something out.

I really hate the signing moratorium period. And I really want to LOL @ the Clips more. I guess it either happens now or in the first or second round of the playoffs next year either way so it doesn't really matter.

Deandre jordan looks bad in all this. Wont even pick up the phone to talk with the mavs? The clips get to keep their place as almost contenders and pay the max to run it back with paul pierce's corpse.

The Clippers are even more hateable now. I want them to go into pure villain mode next season.

I think Jerry Reinsdorf would have played better than Portis today. I haven't been overly impressed with any of the rookies. However history shows most of today's stars like Curry, LeBron and Durant, had unimpressive summer leagues also.

I'm always more interested to see the improvement in the second year guys more than the rookies during summer league. You can see who has really been putting in the work.

That being said, Russell looked really good in their first game against the Wolves. And Towns is already a really good passer for a 19 year old big man.

Mudiay doesnt seem like a typical rookie to me. It takes a certain kind of guy to go to china for a year and work the system like he did. All buisness.
