Well, I suppose I do like LB better.

I actually had a dream last night that i listened to backspacer and got stressed because i felt it was too long.

Weird.

I used to enjoy it "for what it was" but as many have stated over the past few years, the album didnt turn out to be a quick little detour and experiement in song writing, it turned out to be what pearl jam is now.

I enjoy lightning bolt and think there are great songs on their but ultimately they aren't very interesting or have much staying power.

I dont know.

I'm just now realizing I kind of like Backspacer. I also set my video games to easy or normal difficulty, and I don't have the attention span for books so I read comic books. The point is it doesn't take much to please me now. These albums both suck.

It's really staggering how feeble these songs are when stacked up against their other stuff. Seeing their tracklists laid out like that really highlights that.

I feel the same way, this exercise really underlines the relative weakness of the songs on the last two albums.

I'm less of a barracker for Binaural and Riot Act than some on the board, I think they're a step down from the 90s records, but there's nothing on the last two records that comes close to Insignificance, Nothing As It Seems, I Am Mine, All or None etc., let alone anything from their classic period.

Stick in a fork in 'em, they're done.
