Maybe it's just the B&W, the 4:3, and the constant references to Godard and Bunuel, but it pulled off the "this-feels-like-an-old-movie" feel better than most.
I really wanna see this. Armond's been talkin' it up like crazy.
oh god just marry that guy already.
I would but he lives in New York :(

I'm taking my 4 year old nephew to see Minions tonight and I couldn't be more excited.

All he does is laugh at the minions whenever he watches either of the Despicable Me movies. And that is all I do. I'm afraid people might get mad at us tonight but I expect to be belly laughing with him a lot.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. Roughly 50% admirable and 50% deeply problematic. But I think Gomez-Rejon is a super promising director and I can't wait for him to get material that's truly worthy of his talent.

Oh, also watched Perfect Strangers, which was brilliant. I'm getting a massive hard-on for Larry Cohen.

Finally watched American Sniper. Good movie but nothing particular great; what was all the fuss about again?

It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I do remember liking the way the opening conversation was shot. Generally speaking, though, I am not a huge long-take masturbator.

My wife and I agreed to watch a movie of the other's choosing the past two nights.
Saturday night I chose John Wick. 3 minutes of exposition and 90 minutes of conflict.
Sunday night she chose Chef. 3 minutes of conflict and how did this get made?
