Is that a reference to Pete Townshend?

I wonder if the Dead got their stage back?

This was a great show....I thought about starting a 20th anniversary thread about it...somewhere else...but forgot once the 8th turned into the 11th.

This one was on the radio right? If I'm recalling correctly, in Southern California it was on Kroq. I recorded and remember being paranoid that a song would be mid song when the 45 mins on side A would run out and would ruin the recording. Thankfully, I made the switch in time.
I also remember being bummed, because this show sounded awesome. And I had just got back from my first show ever - the San Francisco show when Eddie got sick (6/24) and thinkning how I'd missed out on something that sounded amazing. Thankfully I've seen them some 30 odd more times, but the Soldier Field show was one I listened to over and over (partly because the sound quality was way better than the tape shared boots I was trading, but also because it was a good set list).
Good times
