Am I the only one who thinks Getaway is terrible?

Nope. Opening the proceedings with this and "Mind Your Manners" really makes "LB" a dead-on-arrival album for me.

It certainly underwhelms, but it has its charms. There's a nice bounce to the song. I wish some of the shriller guitar moments were a larger part of the song.

There's a really nice interplay between the instruments in "Getaway" that I don't feel like you hear in PJ a lot. Reminds me of Interpol a bit.

I don't need to play the numbers game to figure out that I like Lightning Bolt more. Usually, I can barely even remember half the songs on Backspacer. I listened to both of them earlier and can confirm that Lightning Bolt is the better record, outside of having "Future Days" as its closer.

The first half of Lightning Bolt is killer but the second half is the worst of this bands career. I think they are just lazy these days and only put out albums because they think they need to do it. From the sound of the interviews I've heard, without actually saying it, it's like pulling teeth to get Eddie into the studio. At least that's how I've perceived it.
