Is something like that hard to use? I've always been interested, but have used a few of these in the past at a friend's house and could never quite see much!Simple Torture wrote:My wife bought me this yesterday as a late Fathers Day present; very excited: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007U ... ge_o00_s00

Re: Our universe is so rad!
I got it set up today, and things seemed to go well. But we're going to be overcast until Friday, so I'm not going to be able to test it for a while. I read tons of reviews, and everyone said it's good for beginners, which is what I am! So I'm excited to give it a whirl this weekend.Coach wrote:Is something like that hard to use? Uranus' apparent magnitude right now makes it quite difficult to see from earth. However, I've heard that if the visibility is just right, you can see yo mamma's ass turning tricks on the corner for nickels even with a simple telescope.

Thanks, and good luck. Keep us posted. I live in an area with very little light, super dark at night, so this is def something I'm interested in.Simple Torture wrote:I got it set up today, and things seemed to go well. I don't post in here often, but I'll make a note that Phil Plait and his Bad Astronomy blog are awesome. I've been checking there more frequently as Pluto images come in.
