I'd be ok with living a solitary life on Pluto.
What would you do for ever?
read. contemplate the universe. I bet DirecTV signals get there ten years later, so I could watch tv probably.
You could be our star system's first line of defense against intruder.
I've never felt safer.
I would first try to become friends with the alien species. However, any suspicious look whatsoever would result in immediate action.

Some of the scientists behind New Horizons did an AMA on reddit today, and they answered my question!

The only other flyby it did was Jupiter, for a gravity assist. There were some cool photos of the moons:

Yeah, so: some guy from a TV news show in Alabama contacted me and wanted me to chat about this question I posted on reddit. If the story actually airs, I'll post it here!

What was your question? I'm too lazy to click and search the reddit

Edit - nevermind, I did. My laziness never fails to surprise me.

Interesting question. I have found myself on multiple occasions in the last couple of weeks trying to explain Pluto to my 3 year old and to try and get him to understand how amazing it actually is. Of coure, he doesn't quite get it yet....

The most exciting part is that there is still a huge amount of data yet to come in. They will be releasing new shit like this for a long time, and probably much more refined.

String theory has been simplified down to a string of numbers that exactly resemble source code that you'd find on any internet browser.

They weren't just similar, they were exactly the same,. The code for the internet browsers was written my some european in the 80's i think....its strange, and here these scientists are finding its kinda the answer to the universe. at the least a little bit clearer idea of what life is all about..
There's plenty for all.

We are an impossibility in an impossible universe.

Yeah, I read that about a year ago. That's really not all that surprising. Symmetry is everywhere. Whether in nature or man-made. There's probably some predilection we humans have to number sequencing that's imbedded in our DNA.
