This series doesn't get good until the third movie. 3-5 all kick ass. That said, I don't think Joey would like them.

I always wondered what happened to those dudes ( I think I was the only person who liked Skycaptain.) For better or worse, mostly worse, they had a pretty big impact on modern movies.

When my wife (then fiance) was living in California and I was back in KC, we had a date night where we both rented a movie, watched it at the same time, then I called her when it was over and we discussed it.

That movie was Sky Captain.

I don't mind Sky Captain, but Jesus, what an awful contribution to cinema that article paints it to be.
