Doubt it. She's pretty terrible.

So, I heard this was pretty good, and that Gyllenhaal is great.

Oh, didn't realize we had a thread for this. Saw it last night. I liked it a lot. Was surprised by the exciting way it used defamiliarization to accentuate what was going on in the narrative; not sure I've ever seen it used in quite the same way before. I think a lot of people are going to find it cliched/formulaic since its innovations are very subtle and, in broad strokes, its story is rather archetypal.

I also teared up multiple times; all of the emotional stuff completely worked for me. Fuqua really nailed those scenes when they needed to be.
Spoiler: show
McAdams's death is fucking gut-wrenching. Disturbing. Devastating.
And, yes, Gyllenhaal continues his powerhouse streak here. He's getting better and better. I think he's the new Tom Hardy (which is weird, since he was big before Tom Hardy).

Do you guys think Eminem would have been good in this had he stayed with the part?

This was even better the second time. I think this movie is really something special.
