rdio.com
I love rdio.com's interface so much more than Spotify, but (i use both of them as a free user) Rdio has so many more f'ing commercials.
Is this rdio.com free?
Yeah, with commercials, and very limited mobile app capabilities. You also can't connect a free account to things like Sonos (very similar to Spotify's free service)

While on vacation I made good use of my Amazon Prime account with various bluetooth speakers, I still like the fact that I am selecting albums as opposed to stations but it clearly doesn't have everything.

I wish I had an android app that played the full contents of a windows shared folder of files chronologically through a music player in the background.

Or you can pay $10/month and get everything.

I use "Music Folder Player" on my phone for local files. Not sure if it does what you ask there, but it is simple and avoids the whole "playlist thing" that generally pisses me off.

I just wanted something that would simply play the album's I had in folders on my phone. This does it.

Indeed, this works just fine for files on the phone/SD card but I was looking to queue up my Windows shares which I can see with ES File Viewer; MFP doesn't seem to install as an actual music player so I can't select it to start a shared folder.

I don't see anything about cloud/iTunes Match support. Anyone know if it has something comparable?
I doubt they'd be able to sync your actual Apple account through a 3rd party app. Apple is super strict about that stuff. This is more of a library organizer, iPod sync tool

On today's investor call Pandora made clear it has no plans to keep the service running, and will launch a completely new on-demand product built in part with Rdio tech and talent. When that will launch, and how long Rdio users will be able to keep enjoying their service, is unclear. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016

This is an exact reason why I can't get behind on-demand streaming services for my music collection. For me, Rdio had the best organization for Album Collections (Spotify is shit). I had a nice list going, and then BLAM -- it's all gonna be gone.
