Re: Who would win in a fight?
I'm not changing the parameters. I just don't think having a light saber is going to instantly kill an enormous dragon, which seems to be your point. And there's no reason to assume that Vader would know about his weak spot.stip wrote:That point was raised. But couldn't smaug just breath on it and melt the handle?
And while it could cut him, would it kill him? The lightsabers can cut through armor, but not super quickly. that's why luke just didn't slice the legs out from underneath the At-At's at Hoth. This might just piss smaug off, and we know vader's armor burns pretty easily, since luke melted it on his little ewok campfire.

Yes Stip if the dark side of the force is useless and Vader can't find the weak spot Smaug would win. Ok? Time to let it go. Shhhhhh.....let it go.

Re: Who would win in a fight?
That was a neat video. If death Vader can stop a star destroyer with the force then he could clearly beat smaug, but that sounds like extended universe bull shit.bada wrote:stip wrote:why?

Re: Who would win in a fight?
i think in stip's scenario, smaug actually has force powers and darth vader is just 84 year old james earl jones in a helmet.bada wrote:Yes Stip if the dark side of the force is useless and Vader can't find the weak spot Smaug would win. Ok? Time to let it go. Shhhhhh.....let it go.

I am perfectly comfortable with Dr. Doom beating Smaug.
Darth Vader in the Star Wars movies is actually enormously ineffective. But that's something you're not supposed to say in polite company

What's Vader's rank in the Star Wars movies? Is he like... king of something?

Smaug, though I bet an Ewok ambush of Smaug would have worked better than the dwarven one
