If we're lucky, it'll just be a few flashbacks, but I can't see how even THAT is necessary. We all get Batman's motivations.

There isn’t a storyline in existence that takes “Zod is back, plus flipper hands” and makes it less wacko weirdo bananas.

It’s sort of like saying, “I was pooping into my own hands and rubbing it on my face the other day, because…” and thinking your ‘because’ will make you sound sane. It’s already too late.

This movie does seem to have crossed the point of becoming abstract art, though. So that's crazy exciting.
