Hey nerds.
So my dear Friend Becky Murphy is the sister of Sean Murphy. Who apparently is a bit of a big deal in the comic circle and most recently on the NYT Best Seller with Punk Rock Jesus or something.

Never read Punk Rock Jesus I assumed it had something to do with Green Day.

Aight, Bada. Whatcha feeling this week? I think Batman Inc 10 and East of West 2 were pretty spectacular. I mostly love whoever draws Batman Inc. It's so gritty and rough and there's so much character to the character faces. Just tons of emotion comes through in every panel.

Really loved the Marvel books that week. The Avengers books have been great especially New Avengers. X-Books too. Marvel is where it's at now.

I gota start reading Marvel again I guess. I gave up after age of apocolype last year and scarlet spider. I was done with Marvel for a bit. The Hulk comic where he is separated from banner was amazing, but i gave up on it for some reason.bada wrote:HardTI wrote:Aight, Bada. Whatcha feeling this week? What 1 or 2 Marvel issues would you recommend I try to get back into?
I'm really into Invincible at the moment. I'm at around issue 60. Took forever to get really interesting but it's really fun now.
Don't forget to check Peter Panzerfaust =). I ended up selling my issues 1 and 2 on ebay for $400 last week. Not too bad!

Hawkeye for sure. It's a A+ comic every month. I can't imagine you wouldn't like it. Thor God Of Thunder is amazing too. Those are my two favorites and as of issue 1 for each title you don't have to know anything about the characters to enjoy those series. I could easily recommend 10 more titles this Marvel Now launch has been top notch.

Mine too. I'm buying so many titles, plus Age of Ultron and the recent X-Terminated. No way I could afford the 600 Avengers books currently on the shelf. I also skipped Iron Man-- it just wasn't doing it for me.Wes C. He's just being an annoying fuck in the comics. I like how he's handling his sons death in Batman, but in the Batman & series hes acting like a maniac.

HardTI you do the pick this week. I would just pick Thor again and that's boring. I'm picking the same 5 or 6 books over and over.

Re: Calling All Comic Geeks!
5/8/13 pick of the week.
The Walking Dead 110

I really dig the new Ezekiel character and this issue was heavily focused on him. It was another filler issue, but it seems that shit is about to go down next week.
I really loved Batman and Red Hood as well. In all honesty that was probably my pick of the week, but I also don't want to pick a Red Hood issue every week.
