But basically, if it's an artist that a member of pearl jam has cited as an influence, and it's not U2, REM, Zeppelin, or Springsteen, I probably don't like them.
This has to be the most stip post of all time

Posts like this are helpful, because they remind me, in my darkest hours, that the problem is everyone else and not me.

that was on one of the grand theft auto radio stations, and I'd always get annoyed when it came on.

Sometimes I'll be scrolling through the Sirius channels, and a song from Vitalogy will be on the Pearl Jam station. It's pretty awesome when that happens.

Huh, apparently Hard Sun was a top 10 hit in Canada back in the day.

But sometimes I'll be like "Oh cool, Last Exit is on!" but then when the full banner scrolls across it says "LAST EXIT (LIVE FROM SOME TIME LAST WEEK)" and I have to change it.

I didn't really appreciate The Who until I got their first record, "The Who Sings My Generation." Absolutely charming R&B/garage numbers, stripped down and full of life. Nothing like Tommy, Quadrophenia, etc. "Sell Out" came next, and is a great followup, albeit a bit more cluttered. Every record gets a little worse after that.
I know A quick One isnt their most recognized record, but come on! It still exists!
I have fond memories of that one.

But I agree, I was obsessed with the who for a while, I dont know if I outgrew them or something, but at this point I easily prefer listening to their first 3 records than anything else from their catalog.

Don't let 'em get you down, Stip. Surely there has been enough discussion of how high quality mp3s that sound virtually no different to lossless files can render something unlistenable, or how two mixes of the same song that sound negligibly different from one another determine 100% of the gap in one's ability to enjoy the two recordings, or how one live version of a song is superior to 250 other versions that sound more or less identical, for it not to seem weird to someone that putting an entirely new singer into the mix could be a total game changer.

I like how in mobile, the "reply with quote" thing is next to "report this post". Ive been really close to reporting every post I've quoted while being on my phone.
