Lament's Uniform Aesthetics Thread...

I could talk about this for hours. I am still known to sketch out uniform designs from time to time.

Let's see some!

The Rockies should have one of the best sets with those colors, but they just can't seem to get it right. They probably do need to start from scratch.

They should just adopt the old school Denver Nuggetts unis.

Y'know, something that incorporated that style could be weirdly cool.

Most of them right now are more doodles in my notebook at work. When I was a kid i drew up uniforms constantly. I once mailed a set of designs to the Toronto Blue Jays when I was like 10, they sent me a thank you letter and a catalog of their merch.

Oh man, that's so cool. I used to do the same thing.

I remember drawing up uniforms for what ended up being either the Lightning or the Panthers when the NHL announced their expansion.

I used to have a template blank jersey saved on MS Paint that I would use to design stuff.

biggest discrepancy between home and aways are the cubs. i love their home pinstripes but their away unis have never done anything for me.

Yeah. And they overhaul their road jerseys every other year and can't seem to find anything that isn't terrible.

and yeah, arizona has the worst unis right now, and probably ever. matte finish helmets or not.

Lament's anti tigers bias is showing.


The simple, gleaming white with the old english D is one of the best jerseys in all of sport.


the away jerseys have always been boring.

It's not anti-Tigers as much as it is anti-navy. If it were black it'd probably be near the top for me. Their old English "D" logo is undoubtedly one of the best.


If it makes you feel any better, I think the Red Wings have the best uniform in all of hockey.

Tigers and Wings home are amazing. All the other jerseys in the city are pretty meh.

WAY too similar to the Cubs logo...

sidebar: did anyone dig the Rangers' powder blue unis when they played the Astros recently... Some of the Astros throwbacks are cool, too, like the old Colt .45's or the rainbow-ish-colored jerseys... but I really have a soft spot for the old Rangers throwbacks, although they're probably just gay-looking and I'm a homo, um... I mean homer.

I thought those Rangers ones were dope. I like white the "T" outlined in red on the hat.
