At first it struck me as standard pandering to the new home fans, but he actually went on to describe all the different situations he's been in. He seemed genuinely amazed by the atmosphere today.

It's such a weird place. I always compare it to the feeling of playing baseball in an unfinished basement when you were a little kid. Terrible stadium, but it's something to experience. Very, very surreal.

If you're ever down here in Florida, we'll hit up the Trop.

Adrian Beltre hit for the cycle for the third time in his career tonight. Only three other players have hit for the cycle three times. Oddly enough, all three of his cycles have come at Arlington (once for Seattle and twice for the Rangers). Pretty neat. I feel like the cycle should be more common than it is.

The craziest thing is that he completed it in the fifth inning. I can't imagine that's been done more than a couple times.

I'd argue this has been one of the better regular seasons of baseball in years.

I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad for Mike Hessman.
