A couple weeks ago I got together with my brothers and we watched Game 6 of the 1993 World Series, start to finish. The major takeaway from the game was that Pete Incaviglia was not made to wear a baseball uniform, or at least not such tight pants.

That series was fucking awesome. Derek Lowe giving the Oakland bench the crotch chop after the final out was epic.

Pretty sure. I think you can't trade a guy you draft for like 12 months or something. If that is what you are referring to?

I didn't know that was called the Pete Incaviglia Rule until looking it up just now, but they just changed it this offseason after the whole Trea Turner situation.

Ah yes that is right. I don't see the big deal. If you draft someone and sign them you have the right to that player. Like I don't see why the Rangers could have traded Dillon Tate if they wanted to at the deadline.

Most Sox fans I know would like to do the same thing to Robin as of halfway through September 2012.

they weren't re-signing him at the end of this season, so it's not that much of a shock. but the timing is kind of weird.

Agreed. Why let him make all those moves last week then let him go?
