I'm enjoying it so far, and yeah, it's good to read a book that includes real laughs, not ironic ones.Bob Loblaw wrote:I remember having more than a few laughs, but only vaguely do I remember the plot.Simple Torture wrote:The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao
I'm able to read whatever I want for the first time in a year...and I'm reading something that I didn't complete during my required reading period.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I saw George Saunders a few weeks ago, so I've been reading a lot of his books. I also just read Portnoy's Complaint. I had such a good time reading it that now I'm trying Roth's Ghost Writer. I can see myself getting stuck on a Roth kick for a while. For some reason, I've avoided him almost entirely up to this point, writing him off as some kind of pervert. Strange of me.

I read The Human Stain and knew that a long Roth run was in my future. Not sure which one will be next. But the fucker's a genius. I want to do all of them! The Argonaut wrote:I saw George Saunders a few weeks ago, so I've been reading a lot of his books. I also just read Portnoy's Complaint. How was Ghost Writer? Obviously, good enough to grab more, but... ?The Argonaut wrote:I finished The Ghost Writer today, so I went and picked up Zuckerman Unbound and The Anatomy Lesson.durdencommatyler wrote:I read The Human Stain and knew that a long Roth run was in my future.
