$10!!
I've never seen that edition before, it's interesting. Does it have "A New Hope" at the beginning of Star Wars?

The words "A New Hope" were added before ESB ever came out. I don't think any version excludes them.

Yeah, I'm 99% sure, but I lack the equipment to check for you.

I don't think my old VHS tapes had 'A New Hope' in the opening crawl. I'll have to check, it's these ones....

Yeah, from 2004 I think? They weren't the original theatrical releases, though (at least Star Wars wasn't).

They were close, though--sounds like the cropping and such were off: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_c ... VD_release

They released the 2004 Box Set DVDs individually in 2006 with the original theatrical versions as a bonus disc.

Easily. The scenes with Anakin and Padme are so fucking painful. Then the final battle sequence is the worst action sequence in all of the movies.

It is bad, but so are all of the prequels. It's like choosing to eat a log of shit, or drink diarrhea.

Definitely the log. Diarrhea is a sign of infectious disease.

Yeah I have those DVDs from 2006. I really don't mind the 2.0 Stereo Mix, but I have to admit that the letterboxing bothers me. It's like LFL intentionally fucked up one thing so we still wouldn't have the perfect version we were hoping for.

Personal anecdote of shame: In the early "wild-west" days of ebay I used to sell DVD-R copies of the 1993 Laser Disc releases. You can judge me all you want, but George ended up doing the exact same thing!

that is funny. I remember in the early days of eBay you could search for something that was commonly misspelled. So if the seller listed their item and misspelled it, it would come up and there would be no bids on it so you could usually get something cheap.
