Watcher Looper this past weekend.

Not very original, but still good enough. I did have a hard time with Joseph G-L in the colored contacts. He looked 'wrong'.

I've been filling in some of my holes in the Chaplin filmography. The Circus was top-notch, Sunnyside was good, The Idle Class was ok at best, and Monsieur Verdoux was pretty much a disappointment.

His talkies are fantastic. The Great Dictator of course is good, but I was surprised at how much I liked Limelight. He transitioned into sound very well.

Finally got around to watching Argo and Django.

Really enjoyed both. Not sure if I think Argo is "best picture" but I did really enjoy it. It's weird, I really used to hate Ben Affleck, but I'm coming around on that guy. He's not so bad.

Django was just plain fun. Hokey, silly, violent (in a comic-ish way), but still pretty great. It makes me want to go back and watch all the Tarantino flicks again. I really need to watch 'Basterds', 'Dogs' and 'Jackie' again specifically.

Also recently watched 'Zero Dark Thirty' which I also enjoyed, 'Skyfall', and 'The Assassination of Jesse James'. I think I'd give every single movie I recently watched 4 of 5 stars. All were pretty great.

'Skyfall' has me wanting to watch more bond flicks. I've seen like 5 or 6 of the 23 films. I put 'From Russia With Love' in the queue, and on Netflix, they have a good bit available in the insta-queue, so I pretty much added what they had (which seems to be a good mix of Connery, Moore, Dalton, and Bronson).

Trance.

Really fun, the photography is incredible and some good acting there. The detractors of Inception will like this movie.

Side Effects.

Some ideas are pretty good...Jude Law is good too. Soderbergh is one weird director...

Emily Browning is pretty. Some of the dialogue is good. The film is uninteresting and dull.
