is there an official dvd release of the pre 1997 Star Wars?

Yeah I have those DVDs from 2006. I really don't mind the 2.0 Stereo Mix, but I have to admit that the letterboxing bothers me. It's like LFL intentionally fucked up one thing so we still wouldn't have the perfect version we were hoping for.

Its interesting that the only Jedi pictured on the covers is Yoda and not Luke Skywalker. The good news for those of you who don’t need to own these new collectible covers is that the Blu-rays don’t feature any new special features which means you won’t have to repurchase the films.
