True story: My combination of these two is now on my mp3 player. I have yet to give it a quirky name like "Lightning Spacer EP"

1. Gonna See My Friend
2. Getaway
3. Infallable
4. Yellow Moon
5. Pendulum

My combined tracklisting (with a few additions):

Gonna See My Friend
Getaway
Infallible
Lightning Bolt
Johnny Guitar
Sirens
Olé
The Fixer
Swallowed Whole
Force of Nature
My Father's Son
Let the Records Play
Speed of Sound
Turning Mist

I'm dead serious about Turning Mist as a closer. It's really grown on me lately, I think it's charming in a sleepy, modest way.

Not to mention "Force of Nature" and "Infallible" -- didn't you once rank those both as the worst of the worst?

Ha, yes.

The live versions of Infallible won me over, consider me a low-key convert.

I'm still pretty ambivalent about Force of Nature but it served a purpose for the tracklisting above (which doesn't necessarily exactly reflect my favourite songs from them two records; I quite like Amongst the Waves for instance).

How's this: I just put Amongst the Waves in Lightning Bolt's place in the above mix and now I'm even happier with it.

Man, I love Olé.

Same here. Do we know the writing credits? My guess would be that Matt had a big hand in it (except the lyrics of course, the clunkers could only have come from Ed).

Written by Jeff.
But of course! It's got that great Pull Me Pull Me/My Father's Son vibe that I love so much.
