I like "Semantics" a lot. As far as "lead singles" go I prefer it to "Generals" by a lot. I like when they apply their soulful approach to a poppier sound.

They do poppy really well and I think Generals is an example of that.

I quite like Semantics. Have since first listen. I might end up liking it more than Generals after living with it for a while. But based on first/second impressions, I'd put Generals above it.

Semantics is ok, but everything else is a lot better.

It's way too early for me to know for sure what are my most and least favorite songs on the new one. But there are a couple I can think of that I'd put below Semantics. Not much, if anything, from the first two records, though.

Orion and One Foot for sure. Maybe Believer and Say Something. I need to listen to the thing more but those are the ones that spring to mind. And again, I'm not 100% on those last two.

Say Something might be my favorite on the new record. That or Shake Your Head Yes. Believer is really good too.

They're all good, I think. There isn't a bad song in the bunch.

I was at the grocery store today and a $25 iTunes gift card found its way into my bag. I'll be buying the new album tomorrow. :)

That's called theft, BRL. The Mynabirds want you to have their record, but not like this.

Don't gift cards need to be activated at time of purchase?

Haha. I did pay for it.

My torrent days are over. It was a good run.

Indeed. It's ready to go.

When I worked at CVS in college some dope stole a bunch of gift cards. Yeah, those need to be activated.
