It just dawned on me (it's early, forgive me) how that comment could easily be read in a very condescending way, as if to portray myself as an adult in stark contrast to the 'infantile' left. Sorry, that wasn't my intention at all. It was meant as something of a self-deprecating reflection on how my younger self would be astonished and confused by how I ended up on the (moderate, centrist) right after growing up in a broadly centre-left atheist household and so on, not a rag on the legitimacy of anyone else's views.

There's no doubt I'm relatively conservative in most respects but US politics is strange and bewildering.

I ended up getting Bernie, but I question the validity of this thing b/c it also said I agree with Rick Perry on Health Care, and I chose "yes" to supporting Obama Care. Perry has said he would repeal it, so not sure how they figure I side with him on that one.
