There's a bunch of reasons; he over promised and under delivered, he's awful at nurturing young talent, he's too loyal to players and ends up keeping veterans around instead of nurturing young talent, he was way too loyal to Wilson. My take on him in Vancouver is that he is a great President and mediocre GM. His loyalty gets the best of him, hampers his ability to eveluate players and other personnel.
i...i thought he built this roster?
they made some moves this season that he wasn't expected to ever make like sending Connolly and Komisarek to the minors, which were the right moves.
Yep, Nonis tied up a couple of Burke's small loose ends, and it has had a huge impact on the team. I agree that he got a raw deal, though, and I didn't want to see him fired.
As for developing young talent... I don't think he's any worse than the average team. They brought Schenn along too early and people complained. He seems to be doing fine. Then they were patient with Kadri and people complained. That one seems to be working out too.
Jake Gardiner looked amazing last game, too. He can skate with the best of them.
Despite moving us to the Eastern Conf. for next year, the NHL apparently wanted to remind Wings fans how much they hate us by putting us on at 10pm on a Sunday night for virtually no reason.

Yeah, LOL at the NHL scheduling a Game 7 for 10 p.m. eastern on a Sunday night. I can't figure out why no one but die hards pay attention.

I can't believe I'm going to say this... but I wish Boston was playing better.
For what it's worth I bumped into former NHL-tough guy Chris Nilan yesterday afternoon (he now hosts a sports-radio show in Montreal) and I asked him if the Bruins were going to win the series. His reply (in a thick Boston accent)... "a fawk, I hope they don't! I want to see the Leafs take 'em down"

Nilan seems like a good guy . I think it's easy to look at the series and say Boston hasn't shown up most of the time, but I think that discredits a lot of what the Leafs have done. The Bruins have really had trouble dealing with their speed.
The goaltending in the series has been unbelievable.
The outcome of tonight's Bruins/Leafs game will not surprise me, either way. I have no idea why they love to let things get to this point, but it's getting old.
The Bruins have done the opposite of what I have thought they would in every game, but here they are right where I thought they would be before game 1, in a 7th game. It's bizarre. I have no idea what to expect out of them tonight, I wouldnt be surprised if they won 5-0, lost 5-0, or won or lost 1-0 in triple overtime.

this.
if i'm forced to guess, i'd say the Bs step up when facing elimination resulting in a 3-2 Bs win.
