I wouldn't call that pic "zeb like" exactly. It's a fairly standard "vintage" landscape. Zeb pics are far more moody.

All I meant were the colors.

In terms of colours I predominantly use VSCO but there are heaps of film emulators out there and they're all pretty popular at the moment with professionals and enthusiasts alike. I'm definitely not the only one out there achieving these types of colours/tones. So as much as I enjoy receiving compliments on my photography I do have to admit that I cringe a little on the inside when someone says that something looks zeb-esque or whatever. I'm sure that Charlie's photos are influenced more profoundly by things other than my work.

There are a few reasons why I think that this image works:

1. The suggestion of a leading line from the mountain in the background all the way down to where the river runs out of frame
2. The natural palette (not the colour correction)
3. The trees framing both edges of the composition
and 4. The water gives a sense of motion

Not to forget the hidden figure standing by the water!
