Ive gone from being happy they are making the playoffs to pissed something as stupid as the one game playoff exists.

But without the one-game playoff one of those teams would be out anyway, we would just be deprived of a guaranteed elimination game.

Unless you're supporting a multi-game Wild Card playoff, but I'm not sure how the scheduling would work there.

What's stupid is you have the second and third best teams in the national league playing a one-game play-in game for the right to play the best team to advance to the NLCS, while the fourth and fifth best teams play a best-of-7 series with one guaranteed to advance.
