Also, Falling Skies is another I didn't give up before the end of the second season. Thank God this season is the last of that one.
nope, i quit dexter part way through the final season, and shameless after several seasons (gave it up during whichever was the last season). also skipped the final season of true blood.

I don't have anything specific. It's just a matter of contemplating how confident you are in the people making the show. For example, I watched many seasons of TWD before giving up, and I haven't looked back since, because by the time I quit I had precisely zero faith in the writers/directors/showrunners to do anything interesting or unexpected. Same goes for The Strain after watching a full season. It eats up a lot of time to watch a series; I'm not gonna waste that commitment on something that is not good and offers no further hope of ever becoming good.

I stopped watching the Walking Dead after the prison battle and haven't looked back.

I still have the final 6 episodes or so of the last season of Boardwalk Empire. Not sure I'll ever get to those.

I wanted to quit TWD a million times and for some reason I never did. I hate all things zombie. Last season was the first one I liked so I guess it was worth it?

I felt that way with Sons Of Anarchy.

There are new episodes of Under the Dome every Monday on Amazon Prime. I'm tempted to watch.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

God, this show isn't even bad in a good way. It's horrible, but I can't look away.

I thought season 2 was the worst season of TV that I ever watched. Is season 3 worse?

The Last Ship is my current worst. I genuinely don't care what happens to any of the characters.

I watched Dexter till the end. I have no idea why other than I really like Michael C. Hall and I was always hoping for a season that could match the Trinity year. There was probably a bit of hate-watching at the end.

Heh. My wife and I are currently stuck on this and falling skies, although the latter ends soon.

Falling Skies has been pretty decent thus far.

They keep introducing new story arcs in the final season though. Kind of pointless.

Modern Family has been really bad for years. It piles up on my ever, and then I hate-watch it with my wife.

Significantly. A couple of times an episode something ridiculous happens that's completely unrelated to anything else that has happened previously.

At this point, I just want to see how far down the well of shit this thing will plummet.

The second season of Gotham starts this week. I quit after last season but I'm wavering.

I watched How I Met Your Mother to the very end. Not happy about the almost 4,500 minutes of my life that took away.

I stopped about 9 episodes into the first season. And somehow ... fucking SOMEHOW I'm considering tuning in for the S2 premiere. I hate myself.

Also, Wayward Pines was such a disappointment. You did the right thing giving up that one, Ruddo. And I had no idea it was going to be a regular series. I thought it was a one-off mini-series. So imagine my fucking goddamn surprise when season one ended with a bullshit cliff hanger that sets up a second run of episodes.
