Ventura has a lot of growing up to do. He has a fantastic arm but is not nearly as good as he thinks he is. This season has been a pretty big step back for him. He is lucky he is even in the show right now. Only reason he is in the show is because Vargas blew out his arm.
If you guys think Royals fans are being annoying this year (yes...most of them are) try living a couple hours from KC. I really like watching this team play (especially since adding Zobrist and Cueto) but their fans have been really whiny this year.

"Their fans." You mean the people that left that stadium empty for 30 years?

Do you want to go to Red Sox games when they're infuriatingly bad?

Even when the team is this bad, Fenway is still half full. I've been to a couple games this year, I could have gone to a few more, but it's still cool to go see your team play, even when they blow.

Haha right. The die hards they have are die hard though. There just are not very many of them. If they struggle next year attendance will drop big time. They care way more about the Chiefs.

The Rangers were 5th in the AL in attendance last year despite all the injuries and being awful. I was shocked by that.

Yeah, I just feel like this all of a sudden robust Royals fan base should wait until they are more than a year removed from 10k crowds to act so douchy.

I'm with ya. Part of me misses the days of driving to Kauffman on a Sunday and only 15K being there and moving down to better seats.

When have the Red Sox ever been "1990-2012 Royals" level of bad? They've been "bad" for three of the last four years, and in the other one they won the World Series. They've fielded a competitive team for nearly 20 straight years and were in the playoffs for half of those.
Their recent struggles don't compare to what the Royals have been through. It would be interesting to see what kind of fan support the Sox would get if they fail to crack 80 wins between now and 2030.

I would say the last two years have been "Royals bad."

Oh c'mon. 2 years of awfulness after a WS win is nowhere near the same as 3 decades of irrelevance.

They have been, but the issue with the Royals is that they were that bad for two decades without reprieve. Two years isn't enough to alienate an entire fanbase.

I have to go with Chud Nelson here. I'd be ok with 10 awful seasons for a World Series title.

Oh, I know that. My main beef with KC fans is they went from being non-existent to the most abnoxious fans in the game in less than a year. I feel like you have to earn the right to be a douchy fan base.

I felt the same about the Orioles a couple years ago.

I didnt really turn on the KC fans until I saw their twitter war with Donaldson.
