The true story of Whitey Bulger, the brother of a state senator and the most infamous violent criminal in the history of South Boston, who became an FBI informant to take down a Mafia family invading his turf.

I am very skeptical about this. Out of the Furnace was awful.

This was empty, worthless garbage, but Joel Edgerton and Peter Sarsgaard were terrific. Edgerton has become one of my favorite working actors.

The same people around here who were up in arms about the Rolling Stone article exploring the intricacies of the Marathon bomber are just as upset about this film that glorifies a guy who straight up murdered dozens of people in the same city.

It's a big reason why I have no interest.

I feel like a movie about this guy being released now seems either a little too late or years too early.

I didn't like this one either. They tried to throw a clean fastball down in the corner, but it ended up just floating flatly down the middle.

Forgot to post about this after I saw it. Having known nothing about Bulger, I found this a riveting story. However, I found myself more interested in the Connolly character and how he was building this house of cards for the FBI. Still, well done by all.

Kinda boring....this scott cooper guy is weird; he have great castings, good stories and the movies looks good but the pace is so slow and boring...not a good storyteller at all.
