I just pre-ordered a few games that offered the $10 gift card. When do you get the card, after the game is released?bond wrote:Yeah, I've had this for a while now. It makes buying new games a lot more enticing instead of waiting a few weeks/months for a price drop. If you're quick enough, it's easy to buy a new game for $48, beat it that week, then sell it on ebay for basically what you paid for it, especially since most of their preorders come with a $10 gift card thingy.Monkey_Driven wrote:Just discovered and joined the Best Buy Gamer's Club. A really great deal if you have a Best Buy nearby and you buy a decent amount of new games. $30 for a 2 year membership and you get 20 percent off all new titles, plus other pre-order incentives and such.

They don't give you a physical card, just a rewards zone credit for $10. You usually get the credit a week (or some arbitrary time) after you receive the game. Sometimes it takes forever, but I've never had an issue.Monkey_Driven wrote:I just pre-ordered a few games that offered the $10 gift card. I've been going back and playing every 2D Mario game in anticipation of Mario Maker. I kind of want to skip them all and play 3D World again.E.H. Ruddock wrote:played Super Mario 3D world on a whim this weekend. What a fantastic game.

MGS5 is getting some spectacular and some perfect reviews. Is this truly a sandbox game?

It hasn't aged that gracefully, but it's hard not to love. You crazy Chud, Mario 64 is one of the most important console games ever made. The crude graphics don't hold up, but the gameplay is still rock solid. Look at how many 3d platformers of that era tried to match it and failed. That being said, I prefer the two Mario galaxies over it.cutuphalfdead wrote:yes, but I didn't have an n64 so I only played it at my friends placeCopperTom wrote:It hasn't aged that gracefully, but it's hard not to love.
