I love when the thread is just spoilers.

I thought there was some really beautiful shots in this episode (the overhead shot of Melissandre's ship in Blackwater Bay being chief among them).

Yep.

Fantastic episode. Over way too soon. That hour flew by.

Interesting you guys felt that way. IMHO, it was all yacking and nudity, almost like they were mocking that whole 'sexposition" thing.

As far as the Theon stuff goes, I thought the nudity had a huge impact on the scene. For the first time the nudity felt extremely important. And, to my memory, there was no exposition in the scene. It was all part of the torture. This felt very different to me than the alleged "sexposition" from earlier seasons. That shit was necessary and painful to watch.

As far as the nudity in the Robb/Talisa scene, okay, maybe. But it was limited and far from distracting from the character and plot revelations, I thought. There was a sense of warmth and safety, a vulnerability that only comes from true intimacy, in that scene. And I feel like we haven't gotten enough of that from King Robb or his mysterious wife. Their love has been largely off screen and brief. It felt refreshing and necessary to see them as themselves. Also, a pretty major reveal happened. Great scene. Brilliantly lit, shot and performed.

And, like I've said before, I think the yacking is the most important and interesting aspect of the show. So much happens in the dialogue and the character moments. We learn so much about who these people are and how they play the game of thrones (look no further than Margaery in this episode, talking to Sansa).

You can keep your exploding ships. I want Tyrion's chain.

The Theon scenes need to either be shorter or skip and episode or two.

Melisandre pronounces "Baratheon" in a way to doesn't hit the ear correctly. Pretty sure she's a pretentious bitch.

She way over-acts the part sometimes. She's got a perfect look and expressions for it, but delivery is often more Disney Witch than it should be. She is her best when she is cold and calm, not the whole "this is your father's house" style.

I loved the scenes between her and Thoros of Myr, though.

I hate Joffrey so much. I find any time anyone is in opposition of Joffrey, it makes me like that person more. Doesn't matter who they are. Even Cersei is likable when she's talking down to/insulting/reprimanding that little shit.

If you're giving Joffrey the business, you're alright in my book.
