"Bagging on" and pointing out that maybe you should wait till your team actually wins a title (or at least gets to the World Series) to start posting about how worried you are about how the city is going to react when they do are two different things.

Not so sure about that. Their rotation could be pretty nasty in a year or two. Sale, Quintana, Rondon and Francelis Montas should be ready next year sometime.
Exactly what #BRL just said.
Huge fan of Rondon. Ace in waiting I think. Having a pretty solid year for a kid who a little over a year ago was pitching in college.

Shark is gone obviously.

They probably overpaid on Robertson I will give you that.

Hard to argue with that core staff though.

Who is arguing? Doesnt mean they wont be stuck in purgatory for 3 or 4 years until they can freshen up the farm system and do a proper rebuild.

Just an expression.

As someone who's favorite NL team is the Cubs (or Braves) I hope they do well. I think most MLB teams could contend in a year or two. So much parity now.

Being the expert you obviously are on the White Sox farm system, you'd think you'd be aware of what #BRL said earlier about Montas being ready for 2016. Rodon is showing that he's ready to be a #2 starter (and eventually an ace) sooner than even the most optimistic Sox fans would have thought. Sale is one of the few true aces/#1 starters in baseball. They have the potential to have the best 1-3 starters outside of Los Angeles in 2016 and the best staff in baseball by 2017.

It's not much of a feud from a Cubs perspective. For 156 games, the Cubs couldn't care less about the White Sox. From the White Sox perspective, however, their inferiority complex lasts 365 days a year.

Name one position player the White Sox have developed that did anything since Joe Crede.

I was so happy for your fan base. It was bound to happen. Beating the Yankees and Cardinals must have been really sweet.
The ALCS was bigger than the World Series, that probably doesn't make sense to most people but Sox fans know what I'm talking about.
It was and it wasn't. Despite that, if we lose the world series everything that happened in the ALCS no longer matters.

I couldn't care less about the position players they're developing when they've developing pitchers like Sale, Quintana, Rodon, and Montas. There are plenty of bats on the free agent market every offseason.

And Cubs fans wonder why everybody else in baseball loathes them.

I'm glad you guys are doing the same tired 100 years bit. Because the current cubs team clearly gives zero fucks about that.

Yeah, but, as a Leafs fan, I've learned that the "Haven't won since..." argument is always fair game.

And it was the pressure of the title drought that brought down the 2003/2004 and 2007/2008 squads that were inevitably going to win the World Series?

Point out that planning for multiple championships before a team has accomplished anything of any real significance is something that repeatedly hasn't worked out for the last thirty-years and all of the sudden it's a call to arms. No one said there wasn't a reason to be excited about the guys they've got. But Jesus Christ, get out of third place, make the playoffs, win a fucking playoff game for the first time in over a decade before you post idiotic shit about how worried you are about what it's gonna be like in Chicago when they win the World Series.
