Blue Jays (phil)
Orioles (Ruddo)

I've never played or followed this and I have a few questions:

How many starting pitches do you need? 4? 5? More?
Do players get injured?
Are players only eligible at 1 position?
Does defense matter?
Do historical or other seasons matter? Or solely the season you choose matters?

How many starting pitches do you need? 4? 5? More?
---Each team needs at least 12 position players (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, three OFs, and four utility players of any position as designated by the site) and 6 pitchers. The rest of your 25 man roster can be anyone.

Do players get injured?
--No. Each game technically exists independently of all other games, so there are no injuries no fatigue, your manager will bring in the same shitty reliever even though he sucks, etc/

Are players only eligible at 1 position?
---You have to make sure you draft someone at each position, but after that you can play anyone anywhere. You will be penalized with errors and such if you play guys out of position.

Does defense matter?
---yes, but I don't worry too much about it.

Do historical or other seasons matter? Or solely the season you choose matters?
---not sure what you're asking here

You pretty much have no control over pitching after you put your team together. When I first put together my Red Sox team it put pedro in the bullpen. I dropped another starter off my roster and it got him in, but it sucks that you don't have that level of control.

Player A and Player B have exactly the same stats for a particular season. Player A is a HoFer (meaning he has lots of great seasons) and Player B is a 1 season wonder. Is there any differentiation because of their careers?

beats me, but you can go to whatif and start experimenting with different roster setups

In my experience, its the one season that you select that matters.

Y'know, Skitch made an off-the-cuff comment about appearing in multiple World Series somewhere in the last thread. I didn't think much of it at the time, but maybe there's something to this...
