The most popular sport in America is football. Pro football has no minor league. College ball is that minor league. It helps too it has the tailgating, traditions, alumni, etc.philpritchard wrote:I've never understood the American obsession with college sports.

Doesn't have to. He falls under the New England College football fandom exception. They're allowed to pick a team, provided it stays the same.

I more or less don't have any NFL loyalties anymore. I'd probably pick the Cowboys or Cards if I had to, but I'm more just a fan of the game in general. I think that applies to most sports with me, with the exception of the NBA.

Re: Lament's Uniform Aesthetics Thread...
I really have no allegiance to any pro sports team outside of the NBA (and even then I kind of cheer for a bunch of teams). It is much more enjoyable to watch the good teams/players rather than watching a favorite team suck. Very little stress.

Right. I picked ND in like 1993 and have rode that out.@SkitchP wrote:Chris_H_2 wrote:explain your worknumbers wrote:ND is my college team.

Re: Lament's Uniform Aesthetics Thread...
The first full football game I recall actually paying attention to was the '94 Orange Bowl between Nebraska and FSU. Crazy to think Nebraska was one missed field goal away from winning it all 4 out of 5 years.
