October, actually. I think last year the new stats were added 2-3 days after the regular season ended.@SkitchP wrote:This doesn't start until November i think, so youve got time.

As much as I probably should put him in ARod will be nowhere near my Rangers team. If this means I lose thems the breaks.

i'm gonna have to include either 2011 or 2012 ryan braun on my team; can't pass up those superhuman numbers, heh.BigRedLedbetter wrote:As much as I probably should put him in ARod will be nowhere near my Rangers team. If this means I lose thems the breaks.

what's the rule on split seasons? like, do you only get the stats with the franchise you're representing? lots of brewers with big years traded away at the deadline. also, sabathia.

honestly, we're not sure how it would work out. You get the split season stats, but we dont know if that would hurt you or not.

I think I asked this question the day of the Price trade. Still looks like this'll be a test run for it.spike wrote:what's the rule on split seasons? like, do you only get the stats with the franchise you're representing? lots of brewers with big years traded away at the deadline. also, sabathia.

I just added post-deadline Price from last year and ran a bunch of sims with him starting. It was a disaster. He rarely made it out of the 3rd inning, and even we he pitched well he never went more than 4.@SkitchP wrote:spike wrote:so i should stay away from 2008 sabathia?

George Brett must have something against David Price.

So my guess is that it's taking his numbers and applying them to a full season. Price only threw 77 innings with the Tigers, so WhatIf looks at that and assumes he can only go 3-4 innings per game even though he's a starter. That sucks.
