You think Stone doesn't know Pearl Jam lost that groove? Oh, Stone knows. Stone knows.
Anyone know what show this version is from?

The way jack always syncopates the kick drum with each individual guitar note is truly spectacular.

how is there any competition for best drummer? He's clearly light years ahead of the others.

Jack wasn't the only one to ignite Stone's chicken head.

Yeah, Dave and Jack were both equally great (if different) drummers for the band.
Matt is without a doubt a great drummer but I'd stop short of calling him a great drummer for Pearl Jam.

I agree with that summary of Matts drumming. I can't explain why he doesn't work for a Pearl Jam he just doesn't .

I like that 95 version a lot more because of Eddies vocals. Go needs furious vocals and 2000 Eddie is a little bit too subdued.

My favorite thing about this video (and there are a lot of things I love here) is how into it Jeff is. He's just bopping around, jamming. I love it.LetMeSleep wrote:It's a beast of a song and I've always been in the Dave A camp for this song. But lately the 95 Jack versions have been doing it. Plus it was my first PJ live track, two days after the above clip. Man they were a band and a half then.

This is absolutely true. I feel like Stone doesn't duckwalk like he used to. I miss the Stone that cared.

yea, yea, yea, Guys its not just matt. The band just doesn't right really groovy songs anymore either. Nor do they play their instruments with tact or subtlety or groove.
Im listening to Sonic Evolution and on Reach Down right now.....Matt has groove (albeit different than jack) but the blame isn't all on him.
The way stone attacks the riff in animal these days is void of any groove as well.

And while we're at it, who said you could so brazenly attack the Bossman, Strat? Whether it says it on your rank or not, we're all Stone's Bitch.tragabigzanda wrote:Leave Jeff out of this.
