for their backstage series beers, i thought they've really been dropping the ball. they used to be extremely creative and cutting edge on these types of beers (e.g., CBS, Better Half, Bolt Cutter). this year they did a re-release of blushing monk and now a red ipa. these have turned into shelf beers. founders needs to pick up their game and start realizing that there are a lot of breweries blowing them out of the water both in terms of value and quality.

I still love Founders. The Porter and Centennial IPA are two of my favorite and very regular beers.

I don't disagree with most of this actually.

Backstage Series dating back to 2013
Doom- Good, not great
Mango Magnifico- ok
Sweet Repute- I seem to remember enjoying this one quite a bit
Smoked Porter- ok
Dissenter- ok
Big Lushious- pretty solid
Blushing Monk- Not a fan, but Mrs. Skitch adores it. But the fact you can still find it on tap says a lot
Re-Dank-ulous- Probably the best of this bunch, although I enjoyed most of them at the time.

Prior to that had a lot of great beers that you already mentioned (CBS, Better Half, Bolt Cutter.)

Having said all that, Harvest Ale should be showing up relatively soon, and that tends to make me forget all their sins.

doesn't seem like anything that you wouldn't already be able to get at your local beer shop, but for more money.

Good to know. I stick to the 4-5 beers I like. Looking to branch out.

I really love it. Tastes like they have tweaked it a bit. Super smooth.

I find it particularly egregious that Vermont, Washington, and Ohio got ranked over NC.

Color me suspicious, this doesn't even mention AZ's two best breweries, AZ Wilderness in PHX and Mother Road in Flagstaff.

16. Minnesota
The most famous beer-beard in Minneapolis belongs to the guy behind Dangerous Man Brewing, who, by all accounts, is a totally nice dude. And considering that he’s pledged in a Hill Farmstead-y way to simply running a primo tap room and never bottling or distributing a drop, he’s also the perfect one to cement the Minnesota brew movement – a quiet but supremely burly scene that most people outside the state don’t even know exists. Surly’s locally famed cans just made it to Chicago, but to drink many of the rest – Summit, 612Brew, Harriet, Lucid, and the next big thing, Fulton – you’ve gotta make a trip to the Twin Cities. Might be worth staying a few days.

I liked this write up of my home state. I really think MN is on the rise in a big way when it comes to beer, but like the writer points out many of our very best stuff doesn't get out further than our borders or maybe even the tap house. I have a few favorites that aren't mentioned here, but I think they did an accurate job on the write up.

Lucky Bucket in Omaha makes some really good beers.
