I still think Sandoval can be a solid contributor. I look at him the same as I looked at Lester in 2011.

Re: Boston Red Sox Thread
I don't think he's been as bad as the numbers indicate at the plate, but his defense has been super disappointing. I just figure one of the two is going to get moved because they basically have 3 DH's right now.

Do you feel like it's been a luck thing for Sandoval? None of his peripherals are that far out of line with his recent/career numbers, he's just taken a step back everywhere.

He stopped hitting right handed, I don't know if that's helped or hurt.

Well he stopped because he sucked at it, right? So I can't imagine it's hurt.numbers wrote:He stopped hitting right handed, I don't know if that's helped or hurt.

We lose Orsillo but are stuck with Remy? This is an outrage indeed.

i really like listening to red sox broadcasts because of him. there's something soothing, but engaging, about his voice.

Agreed 100%. A complete outrage. Don is a great play by play and really encapsulated Friendly Fenway.
I remember when you had to watch "away games" on MLB extra-innings (being in LA) and most of the other broadcasters were not nearly as good as Orsillo (and Remy). I know being a Mass native and life long sox fan, I am "somewhat" bias....

Re: Boston Red Sox Thread
It's so frustrating for the Sox to be this fun to watch in September. They've got the air of a team fighting for a playoff spot.

Wow I didn't realize how well Joe Kelly was doing in the second half.

Re: Boston Red Sox Thread
I'm not impressed with Kelly banging out for the rest of the season with no injury basically because he didn't pitch well the other night. This is a guy who got sent to AAA earlier this year Big Timing it the last couple weeks of the season like he's Pedro Martinez.

Eh, if there's anything going on with his shoulder why push him to pitch the next two weeks in a throwaway season?numbers wrote:I'm not impressed with Kelly banging out for the rest of the season with no injury basically because he didn't pitch well the other night. They specifically said there was no injury.
