I don't like SOLAT, Brother, Breath, or Wash. Even at the height of my Ten worshiping days, I didn't care for any of the b-sides except YL and the immortal Dirty Frank.

I always loved Wash, and thought Brother was cool bc it was so obscure 15-20 years ago. I remember getting a shitty, god-knows-what-generation copy of it on a cassette through a tape trade, and thought I was so boss bc I was able to hear it.

"State" is easily the catchiest song from the "Ten" period, and it bears no resemblance to "Breath", "Brother" or "Hold On", all of which completely suck.

I think the band opens with Wash on the last night of tour...or at least they did this for a few tours/years. Pretty special song. I guess that fits right in to the unpopular opinions!

Wash is the best of the Ten era b-sides.

Right, that's what I meant...not liking it falls into the unpopular category.

Wash is probably my least favorite of these B-sides.
Yeah, there's an unpopular opinion.

Oh, there's Dirty Frank too.

SOLAT is the best b-side and one of the best songs of that era in general.

Love the SOLAT. Really love the guitar chords. Quick 2 chord progression for the verses. Chunky and heavy. And the chords for the chorus have this great long sequence that builds up to a great punch.

Love the live versions from the Riot Act tour. Where Ed extends out the "And I listen" part. So good.
