Thanks so much for the chat, Chris! Before we wrap up, what can you tell us about the upcoming Soundgarden album?
We have a bunch of new songs, and we’re working on them, and things are going really great. It’s really fun, and we’re definitely on the ground and running towards the next Soundgarden record. Everybody’s really motivated and so far. It’s been a great experience working on it.

King Animal has some great songs but the production hampers my enjoyment to an extent. The song they recorded with Jack Endino for the Echo of Miles set sounds incredible, here's hoping the band felt the same way.

I'm talking about Storm, an entirely new recording of one of their earliest songs:
Storm was amazing yeah. The band really shines and it sounds gloomy as hell. I would love to see Jack do an entire album with them, but at this point if Kasper can bring whatever he did in DOTU, im fine.

I don't want to be, but Soundgarden was one of my favourite bands. It's just hard watching them shit on their legacy. To me, KA is not even close to the same league as the other SG stuff.

No, I guess not, it just bums me out listening to the new stuff. I really wish it was better.
