I hope Steelers fans really aren't blaming the radio issue for the loss, are they? How many times did they leave Gronk open? I don't think that had anything to do with radios.

Go Bucs.

It only took one quarter to open up a whole 'nother round of debating of Pats cheating. Ugh.

That game went about as what I thought it would. I actually thought the Steelers played better than I thought they would. Oh, and they made a huge blunder trading a draft pick and acquiring an overpriced contract for Scobee, even before he had that poor night.

They never should have ran that trick play on the first drive, they were gashing them with their base offense.

I have to wonder if the Patriots run defense is going to get better. They're depending on some really young guys to play DT and it looks like Easley might be hurt again.

ruddo, they arent but it sure doesnt help the cause

no one in these parts thought the Defense would do anything but give up drive after drive after drive. personally i wouldnt have been shocked if the pats hung 45 on them.

if this is the worse the d plays then the season will be fine. im not sure the condition of the pats d, but putting up 21 missing one of the best backs in the game and one of the best secondary WRs was pretty impressive

but the loss wasnt because of headphone issues (though like i said it may have contributed) it was more a defense (secondary) who arent used to logging many minutes and too many miscues

oh hey look, gronk is still open

I almost didn't play gronk in one of my fantasy leagues because I was sure he would be the only thing the PIT defense would focus on.

You guys know the NFL provides, installs, and tests the comm devices, right? And nobody seems to care that the Patriots had issues, too.

Whatever. It's hilarious, at this point.

while i dont deny it had little to do with the loss, you dont think it is the least bit shady that when personnel approached the pats sideline all of a sudden the headsets cleared up?

sure the NFL provides them but that doesnt mean the NFL runs the system that broadcasts them

The league provides all the hardware/installation/etc. However, it is up to the home team to run and monitor the systems. However, the mid-day show on WEEI has run down a list of instances where players and coaches complained about malfunctioning headsets at various stadiums. Notable issues were at Bucs and Jets.

It just doesn't make sense. They know the NFL can't wait to catch them doing something. They know they're under the microscope. It's not like Gillette is the only place this happens. And you know, the NFL released a statement saying that they knew what the cause was and fixed it. But, the Pats are cheaters, so they must be guilty.

Get caught doing shady shit enough, and people are going to think you do shady shit. Thems the breaks. And after all, it's just a game. Some Pats fans act like people are saying their dad was responsible for people dying or something. This isn't a Greek tragedy, it's football, and lotsa people hate the Patriots, mostly because they're always really good. Would you prefer to be the Jaguars or Titans and be so bad you're almost anonymous?

I really appreciate you not including the Chiefs with the Jags and Titans. You easily could have, but I'm really grateful that you chose not to. :heartbeat:

I agree, Nate. I know what's up, but when common sense starts going out the window, the commissioner flat out lying, ESPN releasing "tighter edits," and coaches complaining at the podium, it can get a bit much.

I mean, it's to the point where a DL shift is now cheating. How do you not know that's coming? Do you not scout the Patriots? They do it every game. But I suppose if you don't have it together enough to cover Gronk, that may be asking too much. :o

It actually made me mad to watch how the Steelers covered (lol) Gronk last night.

Short week traveling to Arrowhead...ugh. I don't care how many times Peyton's beaten the Chiefs, I've been marking that down as a likely L since April until I'm proven wrong.

:?
They are the Green Bay Packers. They hail from the state of Wisconsin. They are one of the most popular franchises in professional football. So it stands to reason that every piece of sports paraphernalia sold insides its border must be green and gold, right?

Especially jerseys. It must be Aaron Rodgers #12s, Clay Matthews #52s and Jordy Nelson #87s as far as the eye can see. Well, sorry Cheeseheads but it seems a recent report by Dick’s Sporting Good indicated that a Packers player did not lead the in the sales of football jerseys in the state of Wisconsin.

So who then?

J.J. Watt?

Odell Beckham Jr.?

Johnny Manziel (soon to be collectors’ item)?

Nope. That prestigious honor in fact belongs to Matt Forte. That’s right. There was no stutter because it’s in FREAKING printed words. A Chicago Bears running back leads all other NFL players in jersey sales for the state of Wisconsin. That includes the 53 currently occupying Green Bay.
