Be prepared for people to comment and say: "Ugh, how did you miss that? Don't you know that this is the right format?" Besides that, it's fun! I've added like a dozen releases.bodysnatcher wrote:I just got to add a record that didn't exist on Discogs. Gotta admit, I feel pretty damn cool right now.

i'm still barred from doing any sort of edits (i'm on the 'contributor improvement plan' or some shit, and some of my edits still haven't been voted on) because one guy complained about my attempts to make sure the label numbers for a certain cassette label were all correct and standardized. in this case, the label uses a font on their spines that looks all lowercase, even though the label itself lists all of their releases as capitalized. example, MG48 looks like mg48 on the spine. so i started to go through the ones that were lowercase and adjust them. this is against the guidelines, as i learned, since you list the label number *exactly* as written on the release. which is fine, my bad, we're arguing over a font choice here. so let me go through and change all of the capitalized listings to lowercase then so everything is consistent. but noooooooooooooooooooooooo, "contributor improvement program" it is. it completely soured me on trying to do anything for that site.Simple Torture wrote:Be prepared for people to comment and say: "Ugh, how did you miss that? Luckily it was just for a tiny little band here in Seattle, so hopefully no one busts my balls too hard. I'm fully confident I filled out the information completely wrong, except for the tracklist.

The Hoot Hoots. Really solid power pop band with some very catchy tunes. Cool, will do. Have you heard of Zebra Hunt? They're from Seattle and put out one of my favorite records this year.bodysnatcher wrote:The Hoot Hoots.
