Ween is one of my top 3 or 4 favorites of all time. I've seen Beck more than any other live act (9 times), but Ween is a close second (8 times). They have consistently put on the best shows of any band I've seen 3+ times. The brownness is oneness. All hail the mighty Boognish!Wendy Carlos's Twin wrote:Damn right! Here is audio of my #1 show. Re: Rank the shows: other bands edition
Coincidentally, I am going to see Aaron Freeman play on Oct. 3. I'm stoked. I haven't seen Aaron or Micky play a solo show yet. And I wouldn't have even wanted to go to this show a year ago. I was still bummed out about the band breaking up, and I just wasn't interested in seeing either guy play without Ween. I'm further removed now and I'm looking forward to hearing a bunch of Ween tunes mixed in with the "Freeman" album. I'm ready for some nostalgia.PHATJ wrote:Ween is one of my top 3 or 4 favorites of all time. I've seen Beck more than any other live act (9 times), but Ween is a close second (8 times). My buddy (HUGE BTS fan) saw them Friday here in Lincoln and at the barn show. He is on cloud nine right now.verb_to_trust wrote:I just saw Built to Spill play a barn in Iowa. It was up there...

I'm not super familiar with their back catalog but have listened to Untethered Moon a decent amount. The song they played before the encore break even got my girlfriend to woot woot, and she had been up since 430 and was bitching it was cold. My car is caked with gravel dust from the drive and we rode a hayrack to the actual barn. It was an experience.

I believe You In Reverse and There Is No Enemy are the only albums of theirs I own. I like what I have heard. Edit....I own Perfect from now on and Keep It Like a Secret (which is fantastic).
I do need to hit a show there someday for sure.

Edit: the main set ended with Carry the Zero. That outro is tight as fuck.

I think they were playing all of Keep It Like a Secret on their last tour. Maybe the tour before?

Here's Time Trap from last night. This person was standing on a hay bale opposite side of the barn.

SO mad I did not go see Counting Crows and Field Report there on July 4th 2012! Looks like a sweet venue.

I'm terrible at remembering the shows I've been to and ranking which ones stick out but this is definitely #1:

I got them from my ticket collection, which I preserved ticket by ticket in a photo album, a then scanned and labeled on my hard drive a few years ago. There's no way I would have remembered all those shows off the top of my head.Birds in Hell wrote:I'm terrible at remembering the shows I've been to and ranking which ones stick out
