I didn't get to play this much last night. I'm having difficulty unlocking things to create with. Do I just need to spend more time in the creation suite? I'm using it every day for 10 minutes or so.

Apparently that is all you can do. It just trickles in slowly. Find some neighborhood kid or something that has a bunch of Amiibos, they help unlock things. I take like two of my nephew's at a time so he won't notice they are gone, unlock the item, then give them back to him.

I have 8 amiibos, but I keep them on a shelf at work. I am a 29 year old man.

I almost bought an Amiibo today. I resisted that slippery slope for now. I am fearful for the future

They're pretty neat and they make me smile. I am very much aware that I am a child.

I didn't get a Super Nintendo until college and I didn't like it at the time. I didn't even beat SMW until probably 2013.

They are expensive. Do the sell black market RFID chips only? I don't care about the statue.

No, it is definitely a slippery slope. Luckily, my 4 year old nephew likes them as toys. My brother has a ton of money so he just buys them for him, but he said he is getting a wii U soon for the little guy. I'll just keep encouraging my nephew on which ones to get. He knows the toy store is near my work, so whenever my brother or sister-in-law take him there, he says to "call Chris". I will meet them there and give him nudges as to which ones to buy. (not for Mario Maker, just the ones I always thought looked "cool").

This thing with them and the Mario Maker is just a bonus.

They're not expensive if you get them for retail price and you only get the ones you really want. My most prized ones are Pit and Ness. Both are pretty rare.

Here's the thing. There is no "ones I really want." There is either "never buy them" or REALLY WANT ALL OF THEM

Maybe there is another discussion to be had here.
